Australia day

Well the weather behaved itself and it was a lovely hot day (27degrees) - perfect for a barby and a swim, which is what we all certainly enjoyed doing.

Mark fired up the BBQ early and got the kids snags underway, which was lucky because as it turned out I had sent various start times out to different people. some I had told 12, others 1pm! But the staggered arrival worked well and we got to talk to everyone.

We were really impressed with all of the kids swimming, Ela suddenly found the breath to take her all the way across the pool without stopping and the new pool toys all got a good workout! It must have been the most people we have ever had in the pool by far. I don't think all 17 kids were in at once but there were at least 12 plus parent helpers.

Might just have to make this an annual event.
