Visiting friends

This weekend we spent time with my lovely Godson Freddy and his three brothers Tom, Henry and Rufus. We visited the gang at their beautiful home in the cotswolds and even though it took us 6hrs to get there because of the weather, it was well worth the trip. We spent hrs catching up and enjoyed a lovely roast dinner thanks to richard and particularly Henry's chocolate biscuit cake and Maggie's Girdle Buster pie (via Nigella). Yum!

The next day was gloriously sunny (and freezing) so we were treated to a walk around the local fields with their dog Jesse. Tom was not convinced that welly-boots were as fun to walk in as they looked and we ended up carrying him the whole way. A short but very sweet trip.
